Welcome to this edition of Diabetes Dialogue where we bring healthcare professionals the latest discussions in diabetes care.
Topic: Primary care and diabetes foot care – have we put our foot in it? Australian research and what we can do to make a difference
Speaker: Dr Rajna Ogrin
Dr Ogrin’s initial clinical podiatry work identified gaps in the provision of evidence-based clinical practice. This led her to move into research, where she is working as a Senior Research Fellow at Bolton Clarke, the largest not-for-profit age and community care provider.
Her work aims to optimise health and well-being through co-design and community-based, person-centred interprofessional care, to better facilitate translating evidence into practice, focusing on older people. She is also the Chair of the Primary Care Diabetes Society. This society aims to support primary care health professionals to deliver high-quality clinically effective care, in order to improve the lives of people living with diabetes.
This recording is edited from our Primary Care Diabetes Webinar series, a collaboration between the National Association of Diabetes Centres and the Primary Care Diabetes Society Australia.
